John Pearson

Trumpet

As a native of California, John began accompanying singers while dressed as a poodle at the Club Fugazi in San Francisco’s North Beach for the popular show “Beach Blanket Babylon”. He once dressed up as Daddy Warbucks to accompany Charlotte Schulz (then Charlotte Malliard) as Annie to compete in the city’s annual Cable Car bell ringing competition. One of his favorite costumes was the riding outfit he wore while playing call to the post for the horse races at the California State Fair. That was until he met his dream job, playing at the San Francisco Opera where, over the years, he has been dressed in a plethora of inspired costumes while on stage for numerous productions. Whether it be a Russian Soldier sitting in “Box A” for the entire run of Lady MacBeth of Mtsensk, or a Turkish snake charmer for L’elisir d’amore the day his fist daughter was born, John has treasured the opportunity to play alongside fantastic people of such formidable talents.
